Faith

“By day the Lord went ahead of them in a pillar of cloud to guide them on their way and by night in a pillar of fire to give them light, so they could travel by day or night.”

Exodus 13:21

Hey Kayla, what does faith have to do with traveling?

Faith-forward living rooted in Christ is what I strive for. But as a 20-something woman often caught up in the rat race, that’s not always easy to do! For a long time, I lacked the community and confidence to make my faith a habit and lifestyle.

Travel changed this, though. As I connected with people, places, and cultures, I also began to see a ubiquitous pattern: the presence of God. Not just in Sunday service or life as a “PK” (preacher’s kid), but in who God is and how He moves when the noise of everyday life is stripped away.

In the blushing sky over the canyons of the southwestern United States.

In the warm smile of strangers across the pond.

In the service of a shared meal.

That’s why I’m sharing my testimony—so you know you’re not alone in your journey, and that growing in your faith is possible, no matter where you’re starting from.

Faith-Based Communities to Visit

Below is a collection of faith-based communities I’ve had the pleasure of visiting along my travels. These are safe, welcoming environments and many have sizable young adult populations to connect with. If you happen to be nearby, I invite you to explore and visit one! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Set Sail With Me!

This November, join me for a faith-filled journey aboard
Royal Caribbean’s Oasis of the Seas. The 2026 Young Adult Christian Cruise is a fellowshipping event designed to connect young adults in their shared faith.
